All-Candidates Forum
The Stony Plain Road Business Association is hosting a Nakota Isga all-candidates forum for the 2025 Municipal Election. The event will take place on October 14th at the Orange Hub from 7:30 to 8:15 pm. If you would like to attend, please RSVP here or click on the picture.
Community Champions Relaunch
The EFCL is relaunching their monthly Community Champions meetings. The goal is to build connections within our communities by sharing ideas, inspiring one another, and brainstorming solutions together.
The next Community Champions meeting will be on Thursday, October 9th, @ 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the West Jasper Sherwood Community League (9620 152 Street NW).

In preparation for this meeting, the EFCL invites you to consider these questions:
- If you had unlimited time, money, and volunteers, what is one thing you would do in your community to increase people's sense of belonging?
- Is there someone else in my community who is a Community Champion and is interested in creating more connections in the neighbourhood? If so, feel free to share the registration link with them.
Problem Property Initiative
Our neighbourhood is currently receiving extra attention from the City of Edmonton's Problem Property Initiative (PPI). The PPI addresses private properties that have a significant harmful impact on the surrounding community and/or those living in them. Different PPI teams exist to clean up properties, secure or demolish unsafe buildings, and uphold housing standards at high-risk properties. Dinner and Speaker Series: Personal Finances
Community League Day: Sept 20
The annual EFCL Community League day is less than two weeks away! Join us with your family on September 20, 2025 at the West Jasper Sherwood Community League Hall from 2 to 4 pm for a Bouncy Castle, Snow Cones, Lawn Games, and a 'Waste Nothing, Buy Nothing' Trade Table!
Be sure to book a babysitter for the evening. From 7 to 10 pm, we'll be partying for Pub Night, complete with live music from the local country rock duo Calan & Cole, craft brews from Bent Stick Brewing Co., darts and cards, popcorn and peanuts, and hot food available for sale.
First beer is on us, and the rest will be $5 per can. House wine will also be available for purchase, along with hamburgers, chicken wings and chicken strips!
Come out for a full evening of getting to know your neighbours, dancing, and games, and check out the Membership Table to win a $100 door prize!
